Maurice Zarmati - to raise awareness of Fusion in the cruise sector

Fusion taps sales veteran Zarmati as cruise consultant

Fusion, a company that optimizes digital retailer websites for better customer experiences and improved sales performance, has appointed cruise industry sales veteran Maurice Zarmati as consultant to raise awareness about Fusion’s services.

During 39 years with Carnival Cruise Line, Zarmati led sales to build the most successful cruise brand and served as vp worldwide sales beginning in 1987. More recently he led Costa Cruises in North America as president and ceo, before becoming consultant for Costa's international business. Zarmati was inducted into the Cruise Lines International Association's Cruise Industry Hall of Fame in 2012.

'Fusion has impressed me in its partnerships with airlines, online travel agencies and other travel companies to increase travel insurance and other ancillary product offerings,' Zarmati said. 'Non-cabin revenue is crucial for cruise lines and cruise agencies. Zarmati added that Fusion also can help with the newest innovations in mobile technology for travel bookings and enhancing the passenger experience with personalized cruising options.

In the cruise industry this means offering passengers on-board amenities, shore excursions, and pre- and post-cruise options tailored to their interests.
