A Carnival Cruise Line ship helped the US Coast Guard rescue a stranded mariner approximately 69 miles off the coast of Port Canaveral over the weekend.

Carnival Magic crew responded to a distress call from the man whose sailboat was disabled at approximately 1 a.m. on Saturday.

The crew immediately notified USCG and an MH-60 Jayhawk from the USCG Air Station in Clearwater was dispatched to rescue the man.

Video footage from the aircrew's rescue was captured by the Coast Guard's helicopter.
