Costa neoRomantica, pictured, will be redeploying from Fukuoka to Tokyo, while Costa Victoria will shift from China to Singapore and, ultimately, return to Europe
Update: A Costa spokeswoman confirmed Costa Victoria will remain in Europe after it arrives to Savona in March, and will not be returning to Asia. Costa Victoria, which has been sailing from China, and Costa neoRomantica, which joined Costa Cruises' year-round Asia lineup in April, sailing from Fukuoka, Japan, will have new itineraries this winter that are being marketed to Europeans and Americans. The deployment reduces China capacity since Costa Victoria is shifting to Singapore and will end up in Italy in March.

Starting in early January, Costa Victoria is going to sail from Singapore on weekly butterfly itineraries that can be combined. Those run until Feb. 24, when the ship departs on a 23-day cruise from Singapore to Savona, Italy.

One of Costa Victoria's seven-day Singapore routes will call at Koh Samui and Bangkok, Thailand, and Sihanoukville, Cambodia. The other will visit Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi, Penang and Malacca, Malaysia, and Phuket, Thailand.

Costa Victoria's three-week cruise to Savona includes destinations in Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, Oman and Greece (Heraklion), and stops at Civitavecchia (Rome).

Costa Victoria will be staying in Europe after that, and not returning to Asia.

Starting in October, Costa neoRomantica will redeploy from Fukuoka to sail eight-day cruises from Tokyo, until late January 2018. The itinerary includes Japanese ports Nagoya, Okinawa and Miyakojima, and Keelung, Taiwan.

In October and November, this itinerary can be combined with a six-day cruise that calls at Kobe or Osaka, the South Korean island of Jeju and Kagoshima. For Christmas, a special 10-day cruise will visit Kobe, Amami Oshima, Ishigaki, Okinawa (overnight), Yokkaichi and Keelung.
