New Brunswick’s Port Saint John is gearing up for its best cruise season ever.

Set to top 200,000 passengers

With more than 90 calls from 15 lines, the schedule is on track to break the 200,000-passenger record set in 2010.

There will be eight triple ship days, eight double ship days and 11 inaugural calls.

‘This banner year speaks to the incredible growth we’ve seen over 30 years and the strong opportunities that lie ahead,’ said Jim Quinn, president & CEO of Port Saint John.

New historical site

A growing list of attractions will greet visitors, including the new Fort LaTour historical site, opening during the 2020 tourist season.

‘There’s no shortage of adventure or unique vendors in our region,’ said Betty MacMillan, cruise development manager. ‘The recognition by lines of this fact is best exemplified in the growth we’re seeing.’

More summer calls

Saint John will also experience a longer season with a busier summer period than usual, particularly in May and June. The first cruise call is scheduled for April 24, when Victory II makes its inaugural stop.
