Princess adjusts Skagway calls on Railroad Dock closure (updated)

Instead of Skagway, Majestic Princess will instead call at Icy Strait Point on July 26
Princess Cruises is making a series of adjustments to itineraries for several of its ships calling at Skagway, Alaska.

This springs from the decision by White Pass Railroad to close the forward berth at the Railroad Dock, the primary location where Royal-class ships dock at Skagway, following a rockslide.

Citing safety, Princess said it appreciates and supports this decision.

Crown at different berth, Majestic to Icy Strait

As a result, Majestic Princess will instead call at Icy Strait Point on July 26, but Crown Princess will continue with its scheduled call at Skagway Tuesday, since it docks at a different pier.

The July 27 call of Royal Princess, the July 28 visit of Discovery Princess and the July 30 visit of Grand Princess will switch to Sitka.

The line said it will continue to work with officials from Skagway and the White Pass Railroad to determine when scheduled calls can return.

Update addresses where Royal, Discovery and Grand Princess are going.
