Tillberg Design of Sweden is behind key interiors for new luxury expedition yacht Crystal Endeavor, and Starboard Cruise Services curated an adventurous luxury shopping experience.

TDoS created one of the most impressive spaces on the ship, the two-story Solarium, a glass-enclosed area that contains the Crystal Seahorse Pool and Jacuzzi. In the evening the Solarium transforms into an entertainment area with stage and dance floor.

Bringing the outside in

'The Solarium design is a realization of our vision to bring the outside in,' TDoS project director Anders Lund-Rasmussen said. 'Look up to witness the majesty of star fields while you let all your worries evaporate in the spa or maybe catch a glimpse of a polar bear as you cruise by while sipping a snowball cocktail.'

Palm Court, a signature Crystal Cruises lounge, provides an inviting contemporary space for afternoon tea or a cocktail with big views forward in the ship. Passengers can admire the scenery or view the footage from a mast-mounted Gimble camera on the 65-inch screens.

TDoS also designed the Crystal Life Spa & Salon, Crystal Life Fitness and Crystal Life Sauna.

Starboard's retail vision

Reflective of Crystal’s mantra for expedition cruising, 'Where Luxury Roams Freely,' shipboard shopping curated by Starboard includes limited-time merchandise and destination-related, artisanal collections inspired by the itineraries. For initial voyages around Iceland and further north, goods include a selection of outerwear accessories for polar climates, cold weather skin care and sun protection technology (polarization and UV protection).

Adventure with 'an element of practicality complemented by a flexible merchandise approach that equips guests to explore exotic, undiscovered destinations with comfort, style and craftsmanship' is how Starboard President and Lisa Bauer described the approach, adding this is 'perfect for adventure travel while maintaining Crystal’s ultra-luxury standard.'

'The daring retail program elicits exploratory shopping and accentuates the unique guest cruise journey,' Crystal President Jack Anderson said. 'The on-board curated products significantly strengthen the new standard of luxury expedition cruising.'

Rugged and refined

The selection includes Alpaca Apparel, cozy clothing woven from soft, functional and sustainable fibers.

Products from French skin care line Caudalie, which specializes in vinothérapie (harnessing extracts from grapes and grapevines) are an extension of Crystal’s new in-suite amenities

Herschel Supply Co. provides timeless, quality bags that bring convenience to off-the-beaten path travel.

The Hubert Jewelry collection, created from rare, ethically sourced, one-of-a-kind diamonds and gemstones, is a long-time favorite of Crystal travelers. A jewelry selection from Lat & Lo featuring inscribed latitude and longitude coordinates reflects Crystal Endeavor's itineraries.

Swarovski Optik binoculars, the gold standard in the world of sport optics, complement Crystal’s Swarovski spotting scopes on deck.
