CLIA Brazil's member cruise lines are extending their operating pause to March 4.

In early January, cruise lines voluntarily paused to make sure there was alignment with COVID-19 protocols across Brazilian ports, agencies and officials. That pause, until Jan. 21, was subsequently extended to Feb. 4, then Feb. 18 and now beyond.

Season typically ends in April

MSC Cruises and Costa Cruises

Five cruise ships belonging to MSC Cruises and Costa Cruises have been anchored off Santos, prepared for resumption, with their protocols fully implemented, according to CLIA Brazil, and more than 7,000 Brazilian and foreign crew members on board.
