Atlas Ocean Voyages added an 'Afar Recommends' collection of shore excursions for its 2024 cultural expeditions in Europe, the Caribbean and South America.

Travel media brand Afar selected culturally rich experiences, from meeting with the chief historian of the Evita Museum in Buenos Aires to exploring the twin crater lakes of Sete Cidades in the Azores.

Caribbean/South America tours open to book now

Excursions available in the Caribbean and South America for spring 2024 expeditions, open to book now, include visits to historical and cultural sites, epicurean tours and outdoor adventures with hands-on workshops and tastings. Additional European season excursions curated by Afar in northern Europe, Iceland and the British Isles will be available to book in the coming weeks.

'Afar's expertise in curating extraordinary outings aligns seamlessly with our mission to offer unparalleled cultural journeys. We believe that through these handpicked excursions, our guests will not only explore the world but also gain a deeper understanding of the diverse cultures they encounter,' said James Rodriguez, president and CEO of Atlas Ocean Voyages.

Forest bathing and garden visit

For example, 'Afar Recommends' tours will be available during the seven-night 'Colors of the Caribbean' voyage May 9 from St. Maarten to Barbados and the seven-night 'Highlights of Brazil & Uruguay' cruise Oct. 27 from Rio de Janeiro to Buenos Aires.

The Afar options include forest bathing at a restored 17th-century farm in Paraty, Brazil, and visiting the Valombreuse Garden in Guadeloupe, home to an exceptional collection of botanical wonders.
