Atlas maps out South America, Europe, Egypt/Israel return in 2024

Atlas Ocean Voyages plans to visit more than 136 destinations in mid/late 2024, including new voyages to the Amazon, Patagonia and a return to Egypt and Israel.

Plus, the Azores and Cape Verde islands feature on new trans-Atlantic voyages.

Atlas President/CEO James Rodriguez called it the company's most comprehensive schedule, with new itineraries throughout Europe, South America and the Holy Land.

Epicurean Expeditions continue, enabling passengers to immerse themselves in the culture and cuisine of destinations alongside esteemed gastronomic guests and visiting vintners.

The schedule features 41 unique expeditions including nine extended journeys that visit 31 countries. There are 19 overnight calls and 43 departures after 10 p.m.

Overnight calls

Ovenight calls are planned in Ashdod and Haifa, Israel; Barcelona; Belém, Itajai and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Bordeaux and Honfleur, France; Buenos Aires; Capri and Positano, Italy; Casablanca and Rabat, Morocco; London; Menton, France (for Monte Carlo); Piraeus; Ponta Delgada, Azores; and Valletta, Malta.

Mediterranean

Atlas offers 13 different seven-night sailings in the Western Mediterranean embarking at Barcelona, Casablanca, Civitavecchia (Rome), Dubrovnik, Lisbon, Nice, Palma de Mallorca and Valletta. Longer itineraries include a nine-night voyage that circumnavigates Sicily and an eight-night sailing from Valletta to Civitavecchia calling at three ports in Sicily, plus Ravello, Positano and Capri.

Israel and Egypt

Two expeditions focus on Jerusalem and. after a two-year hiatus, Atlas will again call at Egyptian ports. Three itineraries include a nine-night voayge from Piraeus to Haifa calling at ports in Greece, Turkey, Cyprus and Israel; a 12-night itinerary that combines the Holy Land with Greek islands and Egypt; and a nine-night Piraeus to Venice journey that includes Mykonos, plus Adriatic Sea ports in Albania, Greece, Montenegro and Croatia.

British Isles and Northern Europe

Travelers will have the opportunity to visit the British Isles, plus Amsterdam, Honfleur and Lisbon. World Navigator is small enough to navigate the Thames River and overnight in the heart of London on two departures.

A nine-night cruise from Lisbon to London calls at Leixões, La Coruña and Bay of Biscay ports Santander and Bilbao, Spain; Bordeaux and Belle Île, France off the coast of Brittany. An eight-night voyage visits the Channel Islands, Isles of Scilly, Isle of Man, Wales, Cobh and Dublin, Ireland.

And a 10-night cruise from Amsterdam to Lisbon offers two full days to explore Paris and/or Normandy from Honfleur, plus Guernsey, Bordeaux, Gijon, La Coruña and Leixoes.

South America

Eight all-new itineraries range from seven to 11 nights with destinations including the Falkland Islands, Garibaldi Glacier in Chilean Patagonia, the resorts along Brazil’s Costa Verde and Belém, gateway to the Amazon River. An eight-night voyage from Belém to Barbados calls at Devil’s Island, Tobago and the Grenadines, marking Atlas Ocean Voyages’ first Caribbean calls since 2021.

Trans-Atlantic

Four voyages reposition vessels between Europe, the Canary Islands and South America, bookending the Antarctica season. Two are in April, from Rio de Janeiro to the Canary Islands aboard World Traveller and from Barbados to Lisbon via the Azores aboard World Navigator.

In September, World Traveller goes from Málaga to Montevideo with visits to three Canary and three Cape Verde islands, while World Navigator sails in October from Gran Canaria to Rio de Janeiro via the Cape Verde Islands.

Savings

When two voyages are booked back-to-back, passengers receive a 15% discount, while three or more sailings combined merit a 20% discount.

For a limited time, travelers can save $300 and receive a $300 excursion credit ($500 savings and a $500 excursion credit for suites) if they book before June 30, 2023.
