A decision in Florida's motion for preliminary injunction against the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's conditional sailing order may be coming early next week.

US District Judge Steven Merryday held a hearing in Tampa today after the parties were said to reach an impasse in mediation last week.

Sources told Seatrade Cruise News the judge indicated he may have a decision by early next week.

Miami Herald report

According to The Miami Herald, Merryday pressed the CDC on 'what level of risk is acceptable to cruise passengers and who should make that decision.'

The Herald also said the judge ordered mediation to continue and chided Florida for declaring an impasse, which only the mediator has the authority to do.
