Alesund offers port fee discounts for certain ESI certified ships

ESI is a voluntary system which identifies seagoing ships that perform better in reducing air emissions than required by the current emission standards of the International Maritime Organization.

Alesund's discount, which is calculated on payable dues, is given within the ships ESI certificate valid through period. The ESI registration must be pre-announced to the port.

Cruise & Maritime Voyages’ Magellan kickstarts Alesund's 2016 season visiting on February 19. The port is anticipating 114 calls in total this year.
