Australian performer and author Jean Kittson was godmother to Scenic Azure, Scenic’s first river cruise ship on Portugal’s Douro River.

Australian Glen Moroney, Scenic’s founder and chairman, attended the christening in Porto.

The 96-passenger river cruiser is now sailing through the sun-drenched Douro Valley from World Heritage-listed Porto to Vega de Terron over the Spanish border.

At 80mtr long and with only 48 cabins, Scenic Azure will deliver a truly exceptional and intimate river cruise for 96 guests.

The five-star Scenic Azure boasts the same all-inclusive luxury experiences synonymous with all Scenic Space-Ships, from butler service and unlimited complimentary beverages to full-size private balcony suites with exclusive Scenic Sun Lounges.

She joins the Scenic fleet of 16 luxury river cruise ships throughout Europe, Russia and South East Asia.
