Iceland Travel achieves ISO 14001 certification
Tour operator Iceland Travel is an ISO 14001 certified company. With the certification – based on internal, operational practises – Iceland Travel has implemented several green initiatives including reducing its waste with a top-level recycling programme,  subsidising public transport, and promoting healthy lifestyles for employees, Emma Kjartansdóttir, manager shore excursions and cruise services explained.

‘We are enhancing those efforts by giving preference to environmentally-friendly tour suppliers and services in Iceland,’’ she added.

‘We're also raising environmental awareness among our guests, staff and guides in a creative and fun way such as a video on how to help keep Iceland clean,’ Kjartansdóttir told SCN.
