The season starts on March 1 and runs through until November. Many of the cruise ships coming to Portsmouth International Port are repeat visitors, although there are some ships that are arriving at the waterfront city for the first time.
The first ship to visit next year is Voyager arriving from La Coruna in the morning, undertaking a turnaround before heading off to Kristiansund. 2015 sees an increase in turnaround calls at Portsmouth.
At 225mtr long Hapag Lloyd Cruises’ Europa 2 is one of the longest vessels to dock at Portsmouth, made possible by investment in new berthing facilities.
Other new visitors in 2015 will be Funchal, booked to call four times during the season as well as Sea Explorer. Sister ship of Noble Caledonia’s Island Sky, a regular at the port, Sea Explorer will be heading to and from the Channel Islands from Portsmouth in May.
