The future look of Ultramarine
A dramatic livery with a huge yellow 'Q,’ multiple suite categories including rooms for solo travellers and a large wellness centre are among the features of Quark Expeditions' new Ultramarine.

Renderings of the 2021 polar expedition ship also show the suites and public spaces, including the main restaurant, panorama lounge, lecture theatre, polar boutique, spa, sauna and fitness centre.

Some 102 suites across nine categories include six solo suites with floor-to-ceiling windows and large, entry-level twin suites. Each suite will include spacious entryways, spa-inspired bathrooms with heated floors throughout and premium sleep zones.

Wine-tasting bar

Public spaces include the main restaurant, 360-degree wraparound deck, a wine-tasting bar and plentiful seating.

The Panorama Lounge and Bar includes an informal gathering spot with unobstructed panoramic views and an outdoor, forward-facing Observation Deck.

The Lecture Theatre features a high-resolution LED screen, real-time translations and live broadcasting streamed to passenger suites.

The Wellness Centre is equipped with a spa, treatment rooms, fitness room and separate yoga space.

Dedicated rooms store expedition gear

Ultramarine's two ready rooms include an individual locker for passengers to store and dry personal items and expedition gear between shore experiences.

The ship’s shore experience equipment includes heli-hiking and heli-skiing.

Andrew White, president of Quark is confident the ship will live up to customer expectations: ‘Three decades of polar exploration has taught us a lot – and one of the lessons we've taken to heart is that exceptional off-ship experiences are heightened by exceptional on-ship experiences. I'm happy to say Ultramarine will deliver both.’
