Royal Caribbean opened a pop-up event in Central London on Friday to preview its newest and largest ship, Symphony of the Seas.

Symphony of the Senses is the company’s first ever interactive, theatrical cruise experience on dry land in the UK, designed to take participants on a sensory journey of what it will be like to holiday on Symphony of the Seas, which launches next month.

The event, located in Holborn, is open to the public on Friday and Saturday.

Ben Bouldin, avp and md UK & Ireland for Royal Caribbean International, said: ‘The word “Symphony” itself means an elaborate composition of many different elements coming together in perfect synergy. With this in mind, we wanted to create a preview of Symphony of the Seas - our most extraordinary ship to date - that will bring to life the totality of the onboard experience to life in one amazing pop-up, completely interactive experience.’

The experience opened with an exclusive launch in London Thursday night attended by media and social influencers from across UK, Spain, Italy, France, Germany and the Netherlands.

It’s anticipated over 400 members of the public will pass through the event in two days.

All attendees will be encouraged to post a photo gallery of experiences on social media, tagging Royal Caribbean UK using @MyRoyalUK and  #MySymphony in order to be entered into a competition to win a holiday onboard Symphony of the Seas.

Symphony of the Seas will be delivered next month by STX France and feature new family-friendly suites, a glow-in-the-dark laser tag arena and Puzzle Break where teams will race against the clock to escape the submarine-themed room.

Symphony also features speciality dining such as Royal Caribbean’s first New England-style seafood restaurant, Hooked, and El Loco Fresh, where guests can enjoy tacos and burritos.
