'We are thrilled with the overwhelming response we have received for the inaugural voyage of Seabourn Encore,' said Seabourn's John Delaney, svp marketing and sales.
With interiors fully designed by Adam D. Tihany, the ship will expand on the Odyssey-class trio introduced between 2009 and 2011. Seabourn Encore will maintain the line's high space ratio, enabling personalized service by close to one staff member for each passenger.
A sister ship, Seabourn Ovation, will join the fleet in 2018, and with the two new vessels, Seabourn will field cruising's newest luxury fleet.
Seabourn Encore's maiden season will begin in Athens in December next year, with two pre-inaugural cruises exploring Israel, Arabia, India and Southeast Asia.
The inaugural voyage, which went on sale to the public March 3, will begin with a gala naming ceremony in Singapore on Jan. 7, 2017.
