Repairs to a diesel generator are taking longer than expected
Carnival Liberty's Nov. 5 cruise from Galveston was canceled after more time was needed to repair a problem with one of the ship's diesel generators. The Oct. 31 sailing had been canceled, too.

Originally, Carnival Cruise Line said it expected to operate a modified itinerary for the Nov. 5 five-day sailing.

Passengers are receiving a full refund and a 100% credit toward a future cruise.

The Nov. 10 four-day sailing has been modified to include a call at Progreso instead of Cozumel. Passengers who take the cruise will get a $50 per person credit to their on-board accounts and a 25% discount on a future cruise.

Those who cancel will receive a full refund.
