Riviera Travel will add two ships to its fleet next year: Riviera Radiance and Riviera Rose.

Launching in March and April, respectively, they incorporate several firsts for the river cruise line, including bearing the Riviera name on their bows.

Sailings on both ships will be available to book from February 29 with itinerary information to be revealed shortly.

Marks a key chapter

Phil Hullah, chief executive of Riviera Travel, said, ‘The introduction of these beautiful ships marks a key chapter in the Riviera story, as we proudly showcase our name on the bow of the vessels and accelerate our growth plans. Our fleet enhancement plans are particularly pertinent, as we celebrate our 40th anniversary next month.’

He continued, ‘Both Riviera Radiance and Riviera Rose will deliver an exceptional guest experience, with new public spaces, dining experiences, and our largest-ever suites on Radiance…’

Riviera Radiance

Riviera Radiance has three full decks, a sun deck, and offers capacity for 178 passengers.

It will encompass three dining venues, including a new restaurant called Mosaic, offering a selection of bite-sized delicacies inspired by the rivers of Europe. Passengers will be able to choose from the Market menu – comprising meat and fish dishes – or the vegetarian and vegan-focused Garden menu.

Elsewhere, a split-level lounge and dining room will provide more space for passengers.

As for cabins, its 32 sqm grand suites are the largest ever offered by the operator, and will feature a separate lounge area and balcony with seating.

Other facilities include a swimming pool, spa, wellness area and the Riverview Kitchen, complete with an open kitchen.

Riviera Rose

The 114-passenger capacity Riviera Rose will offer 57 cabins across three decks, including four balcony suites with outside seating. The standard cabins will also feature French balconies with sliding doors and an indoor seating area.

Other facilities include a restaurant, bar and lounge, as well as a fitness room and sun deck with a swimming pool.
