In what will likely be one of cruising’s most closely followed earnings reports and business updates because of the Costa Concordia disaster and its impact on bookings, Carnival Corp. & plc plans to release its first quarter results on Friday.

The company has scheduled a conference call with analysts for 10 a.m. EST/3 p.m. GMT that day. The update comes just prior to next week’s Cruise Shipping Miami, the most important global cruise event, where the wide-ranging impact of Costa Concordia is likely to be a hot topic.

The call may be heard live at www.carnivalcorp.com and www.carnivalplc.com.
