Fly-cruise agreement
Travel to the port has been simplified under a new agreement with MSC Cruises and Qatar Airways for flights from London to Doha.
Gianni Onorato, MSC Cruises’ ceo, said: ‘We’re delighted to introduce a new 14-night cruise to our Gulf offering. We now offer a third embarkation port in this region with the addition of Doha, Qatar. We have also introduced a new partnership with Qatar Airways that will make this a convenient and easily accessible port.’
MSC Cruises’ Lirica will also be deployed in the Gulf during November to March with 11 and 14-night cruises that also call to India.
City highlights
14-night itinerary highlights include a two-night visits to Dubai and Abu Dhabi – with shorex to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Ferrari World theme park or Yas Waterworld waterpark and Sir Bani Yas Island.
Shorex in Muscat, Oman highlights include the fish market, the Portuguese fort and, Muttrah’s Souq, Khasab, Oman and UNESCO World Heritage Site of Qal'at al-Bahrain (Bahrain Fort).
Qatar, and its capital city Doha, draws some two million visitors a year. Popular sites include Doha Corniche waterfront, Aqua Park Qatar, the Arab Museum of Modern Art and its beaches.
