Tine Oelmann-Scheel is leaving TUI Cruises

After 15 years at TUI Cruises, Tine Oelmann is moving on
After 15 years with TUI Cruises, Tine Oelmann-Scheel is leaving her role as director of destination management & operations to pursue a new career path. Her last day is Friday.

Oelmann-Scheel joined the start-up team at TUI Cruises in 2008 when the joint venture between TUI and Royal Caribbean Group was formed and was responsible for building up the port and ground operations, as well as the shore excursion department.

Ten years on, in 2018, the shore excursion team transformed into the destination management & operations department.

Great teams, valuable relationships with business partners

‘I am grateful that I have been able to always work with wonderful people, form great teams and put together successful departments, and develop many valuable relationships with all our business partners,’ Oelmann-Scheel said.

She played a major role in the expansion of TUI Cruises including the introduction of eight new ships. Oelmann-Scheel travelled the world representing the brand at trade shows, conferences, on familiarisation trips and at association meetings.

Denis Wiechert

Denis Wiechert, VP product management & guest experience, will take over as head of the department and will be the contact person for strategic questions.

New horizons

Oelmann-Scheel told Seatrade she is hoping to progress her career within the cruise sector where she has a proven track record in port operations and shore excursion deveopment and delivery.
