Celebrity restructured its EMEA business under the leadership of Giles Hawke, VP & MD of Celebrity Cruises EMEA, to advance its growth in the region.

Claire Stirrup has taken on an extended remit as senior sales director EMEA, overseeing all sales for UK & Ireland and EMEA, while Jody Wallace has been promoted to commercial marketing director EMEA and joins Hawke’s EMEA leadership team.

Plus, Gerard Nolan, associate VP commercial, EMEA, will assume an expanded role that encompasses commercial and revenue responsibility for the Asia-Pacific region, alongside his current EMEA commitments. He will focus on developing the long-term strategy and help to deliver best practice and revenue growth across all regions.

Restructure explained

Hawke said, ‘2024 is a pivotal year for the brand as we really look to accelerate growth in the premium cruise space. The newly formed EMEA leadership team will enable us to have one clear global vision, that will deliver increased revenue and enable best practice in our sales, revenue and commercial areas internationally.’

He continued, ‘With the arrival of Celebrity Apex in Southampton in May and a further five ships in Europe for summer 2024, there is so much opportunity for us to grow our European business and we are now structured effectively to drive this.’

Close alignment

Stirrup added, ‘The new EMEA sales structure for Celebrity will transform how we conduct business in key international markets, driving efficiency and effectiveness to allow the total EMEA sales team to closely align on core business objectives across the entire region.’
