The company’s owner and founder, Søren Rasmussen, has taken over the role temporarily.
Career at Albatros
Lagerweij exited the business on January 25. He had been the president of Albatros from April 2019 to January 2022, before returning to the company as CEO in July 2023 – a year and a half after exploring other career opportunities.
He has been board advisor and interim CCO at new science-driven expedition cruise company Positive Polar since February.
Replacement to be found
Rasmussen assumes the role of CEO until a replacement is found.
