Ruiz will be working closely with Saverimuttu, focusing on main growth business activities, including growth strategy and analytics, paid media, acquisition email, virginvoyages.com, firstmates.com and loyalty.
She'll have reports in commercial operations and growth.
Joins from American Queen Voyages
Most recently Ruiz served as chief commercial officer at American Queen Voyages, responsible for overall sales and marketing strategy including brand positioning, advertising, public relations, customer insights, guest feedback, loyalty and retention, competitive analysis and partnership marketing as well as overseeing the entire sales function.
NCLH and Carnival
Previously, she was with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings for more than a decade, until October 2021. Besides her ultimate role as SVP and CMO there, Ruiz had a stint as SVP international marketing and public relations and earlier held several other marketing positions.
Earlier, she spent six years at Carnival Cruise Line building trade marketing capabilities and launching programs to drive growth through third party distribution (B2B2C) channels.
