Martin Imbleau leaves with pride in having developed the Port of Montréal's new strategic plan
Montréal Port Authority President and CEO Martin Imbleau will be leaving Sept. 8 for a new challenge and the board said it's looking to fill his position as quickly as possible.

Imbleau was appointed in late 2020.

Vision, creativity and ability to unite partners

Montréal Port Authority Chair Nathalie Pilon thanked Imbleau for his 'vision, creativity and ability to unite our partners around common objectives,' as demonstrated by the ambitious 2023–2027 strategic plan

Under his leadership, she said, the port faced the impact of the pandemic, the Contrecoeur container terminal expansion project reached key milestones and the port ecosystem began shifting toward decarbonization.

Pilon added: 'The strong management team in place can count on our full support and collaboration in pursuing the objectives set out in the new strategic plan.'

Imbleau expressed appreciation for the board and the port team's trust in him and said he was proud to work with them to develop the new strategic plan, which will make the Port of Montréal 'an even more sustainable and resilient public service.'
