British Virgin Islands welcome Evrima's maiden call

British Virgin Islands officials welcomed the inaugural call of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s Evrima to Virgin Gorda Friday, with the yacht scheduled to then sail on to Jost Van Dyke.

Evrima was on a seven-night cruise from Phillipsburg, St. Maarten to San Juan, Puerto Rico with 285 passengers and 212 crew members aboard.

A plaque was presented to Evrima Capt. Duncan Holroyd by a delegation including Acting Gov. David D. Archer Jr., Premier and Minister of Finance Natalio D. Wheatley, Deputy Premier and Minister for Communications and Works Kye M. Rymer, Junior Minister for Trade and Economic Development Shereen D. Flax-Charles, BVI Tourist Board Director Clive McCoy, BVI Ports Authority Marketing Director Natasha Chalwell, and port agents from the Romasco Group, Patricia Romney and Sabrina Koss.
