Four cruise lines will visit the Port of Poole on seven occasions this summer, as UK sailings get underway.

‘We are officially open for business and have real aspirations for Poole, including becoming an increasingly prolific and popular hub for domestic and international cruise lines,’ said Capt Brian Murphy, marine & port director and harbour master, Poole port.

We’re confident 2021 marks the start of this ambition,’ he added.

Scheduled calls

Tradewind Voyages’ 272-passenger Golden Horizon will call on June 27, August 2 and 12 as part of its UK season.

Phoenix Reisen’s 520-passenger Deutschland will also visit August 3 during a Germany to Iceland sailing.

Vantage Cruise Line’s new expedition cruise ship – the 170-passenger Ocean Explorer– will make its initial stop in Poole on both August 8 and 28 as part of two British Isles sailings.

Polar Cruises’ 164-passenger Sea venture will journey to the port during a Germany to Spain sailing on September 26.

Health protocols

Poole recently introduced new health and safety measures at its port terminal building, including an enhanced layout, a new temperature screening system and fogging machines.
