Capt. Luciano Montesanto exchanges gifts with Gilbraltar's minister for business, tourism, transport and the port Vijay Daryanani
Gibraltar's minister for business, tourism, transport and the port Vijay Daryanani and his team were invited onboard Seven Seas Splendor last week for a tour of the vessel.

Albeit the Regent Seven Seas vessel had called at Gibraltar port previously, capt. Luciano Montesanto met with the minister for an exchange of gifts to mark the occasion.

It coincided with MH Bland’s delivery of a familiarisation trip in Gibraltar for a handful of cruise line executives.

Showcasing Gibraltar

Said the minister of the festivity on October 14, ‘This was an excellent opportunity to showcase Gibraltar as a cruising destination. Regent have a magnificent product and I am delighted that they are including us in their itineraries.’

He added, ‘It also allowed me to speak with the UK cruise press who were onboard and took considerable interest in what we had to offer and our long term plans. All in all, great marketing and promotion for our Gibraltar.’

Daryanani was interviewed by a UK film crew who were in the process of producing a special segment on cruising in Gibraltar.
