The first ships to arrive were Swan Hellenic’s SH Diana and MSC Cruises’ MSC Grandiosa, bringing with them more than 5,000 passengers who were met with music, food and entertainment from Goulette Village Harbor, home to unique architecture, cafés and markets.
La Goulette received its first cruise ship in seven years in 2022.
More cruisers from around the world
‘We are thrilled with the start of this year's season as we will welcome more calls and more cruisers from all over the world,’ commented Sami Debbiche, GM, La Goulette Cruise Port. ‘We hope that this season will be the beginning of so many fruitful seasons yet to come.’
Added Debbiche, ‘We will continue to offer the best services with all necessary health & safety measures to our business partners.’
Activities for passengers
Tours of the ancient city of Carthage, the town of Sidi Bou Said and the Medina of Tunis were among the main attractions for passengers, in addition to La Goulette’s beaches.
