Resorts World Cruises continued expanding itineraries with Resorts World One’s inaugural five-night sailing from Hong Kong to Okinawa this week, with calls at Naha and Miyakojima.

The itinerary will be offered monthly on select Sundays: Oct. 29, Nov. 26, Dec. 24, Jan. 7, Feb. 11, March 31 and April 28.

Cruise fares start at HK$3,520 per person, twin share.

Naha welcome

A welcome event was held in Naha, the capital of Okinawa. Attendees included Hiroshi Teruya, EVP Naha Port Authority; Yukimasa Adaniya, managing director, Agricultural Cooperative Association of Okinawa Prefecture; Hiroki Matori, senior executive director, Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau; and Michael Goh, president of Resorts World Cruises.

In addition, the Okinawa tourism bureau welcomed passengers with a dazzling cultural performance.

'Okinawa has so much to offer and we look forward to visiting beyond Naha and Miyakojima in the near future,' Goh said.

Okinawa Waygu beef

In a partnership with Resorts World Cruises, Japan Agriculture Okinawa is supplying its renowned Wagyu beef for Resorts World One, as well as for Genting Dream. Between Nov. 15 and Dec. 15, passengers will get the opportunity to participate in JA Okinawa Wagyu beef cooking demonstrations, and dine on authentic Okinawan cuisine prepared with fresh farm-to-table local products at certain shipboard specialty restaurants.

Michael Goh will be featured on the Oct. 25 keynote panel at Seatrade Cruise Asia Pacific in Hong Kong
