The statue of David that debuted on Carnival Pride in 2002 will have a new home on Carnival Firenze
The replica of Michelangelo’s statue of David that debuted on 2002's Carnival Pride will be back sailing on Carnival Cruise Line aboard Carnival Firenze.

The statue was removed from Carnival Pride in 2023.

Fitting new home

Its new home on Carnival Firenze is fitting since the ship is named for Florence, where the real David is on display at the Accademia Gallery.

The former Costa Firenze is at Navantia in Cadiz being prepared with new livery and other changes for its 'Carnival Fun Italian Style' service. The ship is scheduled to arrive in California in April for its inaugural cruise April 25.
