A refreshed look for Norwegian Jade's Atrium
Norwegian Jade sailed into seasonal homeport Tampa on Thursday with new features following a three-week drydock that added two restaurants and two new bars and lounges.

Plus, the design and décor were updated in many public spaces and staterooms were refurbished as part of Norwegian Cruise Line's 'The Norwegian Edge' investment program.

Norwegian Jade’s enhancements come just weeks ahead of its summer deployment from Hamburg, the brand's first complete season sailing from the German port to the Norwegian Fjords and North Cape. Embarkation is also available from the UK's Southampton.

Norwegian’s 24-hour neighborhood pub-style restaurant, O’Sheehan’s Bar & Grill, was added to Deck 8. Serving cold brews and snacks in a relaxed atmosphere, the venue features modern flooring, refurbished front and back bars and new banquette seating. The Pit Stop, a new concept for Norwegian Jade, will provide poolside fare in a 1950s-style American diner atmosphere clad with vintage license plates, gas station signage and classic car elements.

Moderno Churrascaria received a new home on Deck 13 and features a new upscale glass door entrance, floor-to-ceiling windows, new flooring, wall coverings and upgraded furniture. Norwegian's signature steak house Cagney’s added seating to a completely refurbished space that offers a new color scheme, upgraded flooring, new wall linings and a virtual fireplace.

Italian specialty restaurant La Cucina received an elegant modernization thanks to updated décor and furniture, flooring, a new decorative bar and a wine display wall. Teppanyaki, the Japanese hibachi grill restaurant, was enhanced with updated furnishings and fittings.

Complimentary venues Jasmine Garden and the Garden Café also received extensive enhancements including newly designed spaces with upgraded furniture and new flooring, among other details.

The new Bliss Ultra Lounge on Deck 7 echoes an upscale Miami nightclub and features a cool color palette of silvers, grays and black. The new Sugarcane Mojito Bar on Deck 13, adjacent to Moderno Churrascaria, has a flight option for those who want to try several kinds of mojitos. The room itself sports granite bar fronts, new furnishings and finishes.

Norwegian Jade’s Spinnaker Lounge also received a complete redesign with new flooring and window treatments, decorative chandeliers, reupholstered seating and refurbished bars with contemporary mosaic tiling and LED lighting.

Every stateroom was enhanced with new carpets, furniture, flat-screen televisions, larger headboards with USB charging outlets and new artwork. Passengers sailing in The Haven will find a more modern, chic atmosphere in all suites and villas, due to new finishes on walls and ceilings, new flooring throughout the suites and balconies, and new soft goods and drapery. The villas and suites also received more than 250 new art pieces.

The Haven Courtyard was upgraded, too, with four new plush cabanas, a newly refinished pool surrounded by modern furnishings and new artwork.

The Atrium, the heart of the action on Norwegian Jade, was enhanced with a refreshed look and décor brought to life with an eye-catching, custom-designed marquee chandelier, and new, modern finishes in calming gray tones, updated flooring, enhanced reception and shore excursion areas, a new large TV screen and relaxed banquette seating.

In still other changes, the upgraded Photo Gallery now provides individual digital monitors and larger photo display panels, along with sleek furniture and tile flooring. All-new TechnoGym equipment and new rubber flooring, ideal for weightlifting and plyometric workouts, were added to the fitness center. Splash Academy for junior cruisers gained noise-reducing mats so kids can play into the evening hours.

The ship’s main pool deck was also touched by this extensive refurbishment, with the addition of glistening new lighting fixtures, flooring and tiling around the pool and whirlpools.

As well, all elevator landings were refurbished with updated interior finishes and flooring, new wall coverings, new carpet and updated light fixtures. In addition, the ship’s stairways all received new carpeting featuring a new contemporary designed featuring new modern artwork in in all mid-stairwell landings.

Norwegian Jade is due to depart Port Tampa Bay on April 30, bound for its summer Europe deployment.
