Scanship wins retrofit order for Oceania Cruises' Nautica

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings awarded Scanship the contract for an advanced wastewater purification system on Oceania Cruises’ Nautica.

The contract is to deliver and install a Scanship system to process all gray wastewater and black water to the industry’s highest environmental standard. The technology will meet MARPOL MEPC 227(64) section 4.2 for the Baltic Sea Special Area, including phosphorus and nitrogen removal.

Spring 2020 installation

The installation will be done during the spring.

Currently 19 ships in the fleet of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings fleet are equipped with Scanship AWP systems that purify wastewater to shipping’s highest effluent standard worldwide.
