The five-week, $35m drydock is under way at Reparaciones Navantia in Cádiz, Spain.
Fresh dining venues on the 1996-built ship will include the Asian Izumi restaurant; the line’s signature steak house, Chops Grille; the Boardwalk Dog House hot dog counter; the Park Café deli-style restaurant and the exclusive Chef’s Table dining experience.
The a la carte menu in the Viking Crown Lounge will offer bite-sized portions of classic dishes such as jumbo shrimp cocktail and Kobe beef sliders, Asian-inspired tempuras and soft shell crab, at a la carte pricing.
Boardwalk Dog House will serve traditional hot dogs, wieners, brats, sausages and other linked meats and a variety of toppings to split a long bun. The spot will be open for lunch and dinner at no charge.
The Chef’s Table, co-hosted by the executive chef and sommelier for an intimate wine pairing dinner of five courses, is open for dinner at a $95 cover charge.
Chops Grille will be located adjacent to the Viking Crown Lounge and offer a menu of prime cuts prepared a la minute. The restaurant is open for dinner at a $30 cover charge.
Izumi, offering a sushi bar and hot-rock cooking, also will be located adjacent to the Viking Crown Lounge. It is open for lunch at a $3 charge and dinner at a $5 charge, plus a la carte menu pricing.
The indoor/outdoor Park Café gourmet market serves salads, sandwiches, soups and pastries, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, at no charge.
