Founder and Chairman John Waggoner narrates a new video with highlights of American Queen Voyages' 10-year history.

The story starts with acquiring American Queen, 'the largest and most opulent riverboat ever built,' and an authentic steamboat, which first sailed for Waggoner's company in 2012. The saga continues with the additions of American Empress, 'the largest riverboat west of the Mississippi,' the boutique American Duchess and American Countess, built from the hull of a former casino boat that was cut in half and extended.

Expansion beyond the rivers

In 2019, the company acquired the two coastal vessels of Victory Cruise Lines, expanding its deployment horizons beyond the rivers. And, this April, expedition cruising becomes the next step in American Queen's expansion with Ocean Victory heading to Alaska for the season.

'It is amazing to look back at how far American Queen Voyages has come in such a short amount of time, today employing hundreds and introducing thousands of guests to communities up and down the rivers and even expanding to the Great Lakes, Mexico and Alaska,' Waggoner said.
