Vow's Scanship wins order to supply two cruise newbuilds plus two options

Vow ASA subsidiary Scanship won a contract to supply clean ship systems for up to four cruise newbuilds in a series for a total value of €13.8m.

The order was made by a major European shipyard for technology to process garbage, food waste and wastewater on each 1,000-passenger ship.

Equipment for the first will be delivered from Scanship to the yard in third quarter 2022.

'We are very pleased to continue to supply our technology to one of the largest cruise newbuild yards in Europe as we continue to grow our market share deploying our advanced clean tech in the cruise newbuilding market,' Vow CEO Henrik Badin said.

$58m in cruise orders/options in 2021

'With this new award, we have entered cruise contracts for nearly 500 million Norwegian kroner ($58.4m) including options in 2021,' he continued, 'We are very proud for this win, as it confirms our long-time capability to deliver advanced technology at large scale and in line with the cruise industry high-quality performance standards, and fully compliant with highest effluent standards at sea.'
