The programme will be undertaken by the purpose-built Greg Mortimer, named after the company’s founder, and Sylvia Earle, on track for delivery in October.

Both ships have an Ulstein X-BOW and expansive observation decks.

Eight itineraries

There are eight different itineraries in the 2022/23 season — 'Spirit of Antarctica,' 'Across the Antarctic Circle,' 'Antarctic Explorer,' 'Wild Antarctica,' 'Subantarctic Safari,' 'South Georgia and Antarctic Odyssey,' 'Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctic Peninsula' and 'Antarctica Complete.'

The latter is described as the ultimate Antarctic voyage, offering unparalleled adventure, with the tagline: ‘If you want to see it all, this is the trip for you.’

It takes passengers into the deep south of the Antarctic Peninsula, crossing the Antarctic Circle.

Ice camping

Aurora has introduced many unforgettable polar experiences for passengers, including ice camping without tents, a feature of the ‘Spirit of Antarctica’ itinerary.
