Expedition cruising trifecta for Seatrade Cruise Global

Three Seatrade Cruise Global panels will delve into expedition cruising — 'Expedition CEO Panel,' 'The Polar Watch' and 'Warm Water Expeditions and Uncharted Destinations.'

The 'Expedition CEO Panel' features Andrea Zito, CEO, Swan Hellenic; Belinda Hindmarsh, deputy CEO global business, Ponant; and Julian Pfitzner, CEO, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises.

They'll give an outlook for the sector, discuss supply and demand, share insights into sustainability initiatives and innovation and address the rising consumer interest in authentic cultural experiences.

The Polar Watch

Honing in on polar expeditions, this session will shed light on emerging trends and challenges in both polar regions. The experts will discuss factors driving demand for these extraordinary journeys, tourism management/sustainability and what's ahead for polar expeditions.

Speakers are Gorm Diernisse, GM, Eimskip Greenland Agency; Hans Lagerweij, board advisor, Positive Polar; Jen Martin, director, product development - expeditions, Seabourn; and Veronica Baldasso, managing director, Delver Agents, Ship Agents & Suppliers.

Warm Weather Expeditions and Uncharted Destinations

The expedition cruising track then moves to warm weather and new destinations, with a focus on the viability of these alternatives to the poles, challenges (such as permits for Zodiac use) and best practices for operating in remote regions.
