CRUISE_Fincantieri_logo.jpg
Fincantieri signed a sustainability-linked construction loan, for up to €300m, with bank Intesa Sanpaolo and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.

The loan is to cover the financial requirements for the construction of a cruise ship for 2023 delivery. The newbuild was not identified.

KPIs related to energy efficiency, supply chain, training

The 'sustainability-linked' financing terms envisage a benefit or a penalty for Fincantieri according to the achievement of specific environment, social and governance key performance indicators in the company’s 2018–2022 Sustainability Plan. These KPIs relate to efficient energy consumption management, supply chain sustainability and employee training.

Given the progress with the construction of the cruise ship, Fincantieri expects to use part of the loan by the end of 2021.
