'It’s been a long time coming, but we are thrilled to reveal a new look and feel of our website, which better reflects the quality and style of the magazine,' said Bill Panoff, publisher and editor-in-chief.
Built by Nathan Aaron, Porthole’s new senior web developer, the site now carries over the content from the magazine’s original website, such as ship reviews, issue excerpts and a cruise news blog, but will build on that content weekly with a cruise newsletter, additional blogs, videos and more.
Chief blogger Fran Golden will expand the news angle with a new cruise newsletter, which will post every Friday and will be emailed bimonthly to opt-in subscribers.
New blogs include 'Monday Mantra,' a humorous blog written by long-time Porthole contributor Judi Cuervo, as well as a weekly 'Five Faves' blog, written by Porthole editors and writers who will pick their favorites related to a specific cruise topic that will post each Wednesday.
Additional guest bloggers will also be contributing on various travel themes.
