Star Clipper will offer sailings to Istanbul and Athens, and round trips from Rome and Cannes
Star Clipper, which has been sailing Southeast Asia, will ply the Mediterranean in 2022 alongside sister vessels Royal Clipper and Star Flyer, after concluding its 2021/22 season in Thailand.

2022 season

Star Clipper will depart Safaga, Egypt, in April 2022, sailing through the Suez Canal and traversing the waterway which connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea.

Once in Mediterranean waters, the 170-passenger ship will offer a variety of itineraries, including a seven-night sailing between Istanbul and Piraeus, and round-trips from Civitaveccchia (Rome) and Cannes from May through to October.

2021 bookings are currently open for Star Clipper cruises around Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

Growing demand for Med sailings

'It’s hugely exciting to be welcoming Star Clipper back to the Mediterranean to join her sisters in summer 2022,’ said Mikael Krafft, owner, Star Clippers. ‘While we’re sad to be leaving Asia for now, we’ve seen a steady, growing demand for our popular Med sailing.’

He added that ‘with the last season of Asia sailings taking place during winter 2021/22, we are anticipating a huge demand for these sailings before Star Clipper departs.’

Guests who book a 2022 Star Clipper Mediterranean sailing by October 31 will receive $600 savings per cabin.
