Scenic reveals further details of 2022 itineraries

Scenic Sapphire will visit Avignon, France as part of a culinary cruise
Scenic has released further information on its 2022 Antarctic season cruises plus its Mediterranean voyages and culinary river cruises.

Antarctic season

Scenic Eclipse will embark on a 19-day ‘Into the Weddell Sea’ voyage that departs December 19, 2022 and priced at £15,030 per person. 

Departing September 4, 2022 is a 17-day ‘Adventures through the Inside Passage’ voyage from Nome to Vancouver, which allows passengers the chance to encounter wilderness and wildlife including elk, caribou, sea otters, orcas and humpback whales. 

En route will be a visit to St Paul Island in the Bering Sea and a visit to Alaska’s historic town of Seward – a seaside village with access to Kenai Fjords National Park and a bustling harbour. Prices start from £12,360 per person. 

Culinary cruises

Departing May 5, 2022, the 11-day ‘Tastes of Southern France’ sails round-trip from Lyon through Tournus, Mâcon, Chalon-sur-Saône, Tain L’Hermitage, Avignon and Viviers. Cruising on board Scenic Sapphire, it includes an exclusive interactive workshop at the Valrhona Cité du Chocolate Museum, an on board meal served by Michelin-starred chef Didier Goiggon and a visit to the restaurant of acclaimed chef, Georges Blanc. Prices start at £3,395 per person.

Second gastronomy-focussed river cruise, the 11-day ‘Flavours of Bordeaux’ takes in vistas and castles, sees passengers on board Scenic Diamond taste fresh oysters from Arcachon Bay, sample the finest Cognac at the Rémy Martin estate and participate in an exclusive Cheese of France tasting experience sampling the country’s most celebrated cheeses and wine. It departs May 25, 2022 with prices starting at £3,395 per person.

Mediterranean

The 14-day ‘Morocco & the Iberian Peninsula’ voyage leaving April 14, 2022 will travel round-trip from Lisbon calling Madeira, Casablanca, Tangier, Puerto Banus and Seville. Passengers can hike through the Levada do Norte – one of the longest and oldest levadas on Madeira – before visiting Hercules Caves in Tangier. 

In Seville, passengers will visit one of the oldest bullrings for an exclusive equestrian flamenco show. Prices start from £4,490 per person. 

Departing May 14, 2022 Scenic’s 10-day ‘Iconic Treasures of Italy and Greece’ sails from Rome to Athens where activities include visiting caves and cliffs in Sorrento or taking hikes among the volcanic Aeolian archipelago. Prices start from £4,685 per person.
