Ambassador Cruise Line appointed Carly Bowkett BDM, bolstering the line’s trade team.

Reporting into divisional sales manager Karen Cameron, Bowkett will have responsibility for trade sales in Scotland, the North of England and Northern Ireland, fostering existing commercial relationships to maximise sales opportunities and drive day-to-day trading while instigating new agent and trade partnerships.

Strengthening Ambassador in the north

Cameron described Bowkett as a ‘confident, outgoing and enthusiastic’ addition to the Ambassador team, which she said will ‘benefit the brand as we look to continue providing our valued agent partners with all the support and tools they need.’

She added, ‘I’m confident that Carly’s arrival will see Ambassador go from strength to strength in the north as we look to serve both the business and our partners in the most effective and productive way possible.’

Background

With considerable experience in frontline customer service positions, Bowkett joins Ambassador from Protected Travel Ship under PTS in Fleetwood, Lancashire, where she was store manager. Previous roles include travel sales consultant at Thomas Cook Retail.

Audra Garner joining trade support

In addition to Bowkett’s arrival, Ambassador announced that Audra Garner will be leaving her role in its contact centre to join the trade team as trade support assistant to strengthen the support function.

Garner, who has worked in the cruise industry for several years and was previously a sales consultant at Thomas Cook Retail, will move into her new role on April 2 reporting into trade support manager, Beth Barker.
