Garcia has had sales and product management roles with Valle Nevado Ski Resort, Explora Lodges and LATAM Airlines.
He also has a company that offers marketing services to travel organisations wanting to expand in the Asia Pacific region.
In his new Sydney-based role he is responsible for product training, familiarisation trips, strategic partnerships and commercial strategies.
Positioning ships in the marketplace
His brief from Francesco Galli Zugaro, founder and CEO of Aqua Expeditions who is based in Singapore, is to strengthen the position of the company’s fleet of five luxury expedition ships —Aria Amazon, Aqua Mekong, Aqua Nera, Aqua Blu and Aqua Mare — in the Australasian marketplace.
Launched in 2007 for expedition cruising along the Peruvian Amazon, Aqua Expeditions has expanded into Cambodia, Vietnam, East Indonesia and the Galápagos Islands.
