Elise Ferguson was promoted to GM of Ceres Terminals' Canadian cruise operations.

She has more than 20 years of cruise and maritime experience, and most recently served as stevedoring manager, Vancouver.

'She is a leader in the industry, with dedication to providing our customers, partners and stakeholders with consistent and reliable service,' Ceres Terminals CEO Craig Mygatt said.

Ceres Terminals manages the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority's cruise terminal and provides stevedoring services for RoRo vessels.

Organized vaccine clinics

During the 2020 pandemic, the Ceres Vancouver team opened and operated vaccine clinics at the port to help provide medical care to the surrounding community. Ferguson played an important role in organizing and operating the clinics, along with planning and preparing the cruise lines' return to operations.

Princess Cruises' port operations manager

Ferguson spent 18 years as a port operations manager for Princess Cruises in Vancouver and Fort Lauderdale. Since she's worked at Ceres, the Vancouver team has serviced 3,600 vessel calls and 12.25m passengers.

Before starting on the waterfront, Ferguson spent six years in Spain as a tour and travel guide for a Scandinavian and British travel company.
