Craig Harris, who founded Cruise New Zealand (now the New Zealand Cruise Association) in 1994, was inducted into CLIA Australasia’s Hall of Fame at the organisation’s annual black tie dinner in Sydney on Saturday.

The CLIA Hall of Fame Awards recognise individuals whose efforts and accomplishments represent a significant contribution to the development of the Australasian cruise industry.

Harris is the former MD of ISS-McKay, the leading New Zealand port agency which was acquired by Singapore’s Pacific International Lines last November.

Advisory role

He will serve in an advisory role until the end of this year.

Harris, who was chairman of the then Cruise New Zealand from 1994 until 2013, was made a life member in 2009.
