Oceania Cruises would not be the tremendously successful company it is today' without the contributions of James Rodriguez, President/CEO Bob Binder said
Nineteen-year Oceania Cruises veteran James Rodriguez, EVP sales and marketing, is leaving at the end of July.

In a note to travel partners, Oceania President and CEO Bob Binder said: 'Like many of you, James spent much of the past 16 months assessing and reassessing his quality of life priorities and goals and after much careful thought and reflection, he has decided to follow his heart and family back to a place he has always loved — Colorado. Personally, and professionally, this makes me very happy for James and his family.

Founding team member

'James was one of our founding team members and Oceania Cruises would not be the tremendously successful company it is today without his contributions,' Binder continued.

Champion of travel partners

Citing the relationships Rodriguez forged, Binder said: 'James has always been a champion for our travel partners and his passion for the industry is second to none. While James spent the majority of his time focused on building our business with all of you, he has been involved in virtually every facet of the brand including guest services, on-board product development, new ship design, e-commerce and technology.

Leaves an 'indelible mark on the brand'

'While James may be leaving us, his legacy will remain. He’s left an indelible mark on the brand and has cultivated and nurtured an incredibly talented team of leaders who will lead us into 2022 and beyond.'

SVP Nikki Upshaw will continue to lead the sales organization, supported by Tricia Wolf, VP field sales; Scott Kluesner, VP strategic accounts; and Nathan Hickman, VP trade engagement & guest experience. Isabel Galvan continues as SVP marketing.
