Tony Roberts, the current VP for Princess Cruises UK and Europe, joins Seabourn from March 1 as global VP commercial operations as Seabourn also announces a restructure of its senior management team.

He will be based in the UK and report to Seabourn president Josh Leibowitz.

Seabourn restructuring

As part of a restructuring at Seabourn, current Holland America Line and Seabourn UK & Ireland MD Lynn Narraway will report to Roberts. Narraway will be focussed wholly on Seabourn moving forward with an expanded role that includes responsibility for Europe.

Also reporting in to Roberts is Seabourn’s current VP product management and development, Sean Brennan, who is now appointed head of commercial planning and strategy responsible for analytics, fuel optimisation, revenue forecasting and the relationship with the Holland America Group revenue shared services.

Holland America Line’s VP international sales, Nico Bleichrodt, will continue to report to Gus Antorcha, president of Holland America Line, and takes on the added responsibility for Holland America Line sales in the UK.

Brings a ‘wealth’ of experience

Seabourn president Josh Liebowitz said of Roberts, ‘I’ve been impressed with Tony’s leadership of Princess in the UK and Europe and I’m excited that he is joining the Seabourn family as we add our expedition ships to the fleet.

‘Tony will bring a wealth of commercial and global sourcing experience to the Seabourn team: the UK is the second largest market for Seabourn and represents an important growth area. We are extremely excited to have Tony and Lynn together in the UK to continue to grow the Seabourn opportunity.’

Roberts, who will lead revenue management, deployment, revenue forecasting, planning and analytics for the Seabourn brand globally, responded, ‘This is an exciting opportunity to lead Seabourn’s global commercial team at such a vital time for the brand as we deliver extraordinary guest experiences in ocean and expedition travel.’

He added that under Narraway’s leadership, the Seabourn UK team has ‘continuously achieved outstanding results,’ stating, ‘I look forward to us building on this foundation as we deliver our future growth plans in the region.

‘Whilst I will continue to be based in the UK, I will travel frequently to the US to work with and lead the commercial teams there.’

Narraway, who ‘looks forward to growing Seabourn sales in UK and Europe,’ commented, ‘I have known and worked with Tony for many years, and I look forward to partnering with him as we continue to grow with our trade partners.

‘For the time being we continue business as usual for Princess, Holland America Line and Seabourn, as we transition to the new structure.’
