Sarah Fabergé, founding member of the Fabergé Heritage Council, will serve as the godmother for Seven Seas Grandeur.

She is the great-granddaughter of Peter Carl Fabergé, the legendary artist-jeweler and creative and entrepreneurial genius behind the world-renowned company that bears his name.

PortMiami festivities with Kristin Chenoweth

She will christen the ship at an elegant gala event Dec. 10 in Miami that also will feature entertainment from Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises President Andrea DeMarco said the godmother 'symbolizes the shared ethos and distinctive qualities that define our two eminent luxury brands.'

Bespoke jewelry to be auctioned for charity

As part of Regent’s partnership with Fabergé, the godmother will wear bespoke earrings and a ring specifically designed for the christening. These pieces, made of 18-karat white gold and featuring blue guilloché enamel, white diamonds and pearls, will also be auctioned to raise money for charity in 2024. The auction proceeds will go to the Gemfields Foundation, the charitable arm of Gemfields, the parent company of  Fabergé.

The foundation is undertaking various activations to address poverty and wildlife conservation in sub-Saharan Africa. The charity's projects span countries Regent ships visit, such as Madagascar and Mozambique.

Following its naming festivities, Seven Seas Grandeur will embark on a three-night Caribbean christening cruise before returning to Miami for its maiden Caribbean season.
